We can collect wood and wood items from households in the Brighton & Hove area (up to 5 miles from the city centre) free of charge.

However, due to the costly overheads of making collections, we have to be very selective about the wood we can accept.

We can only collect clean, sound and reusable items such as:

• Clean timber lengths - 2m plus
• Clean sheet materials - full sheets
• Reusable floorboards and roofing boards
• Joists, roof timbers, beams etc
• Scaffold boards and planks
• Solid wooden doors
• Hardwood off-cuts
• Other wood items in good condition

NOTE: WE CANNOT COLLECT ANY BROKEN ITEMS; WARPED, SPLIT OR WOODWORM-INFESTED WOOD; OR ITEMS MADE FROM CHIPBOARD, MDF, LAMINATED BOARD ETC.
