Everybody seems to be very busy with garden projects this week if our customers are anything to go by. The warming of the air has got the sap rising and creative ideas flowing. There seems to be a big rush for our new scaffold boards (just £20 each for a 3.9m board) along with the new selection of sea defence wood and groynes that we recently collected. Cable reels seem to be 'in' as garden tables, and it's easy to see why from £20 each. The focus has (finally) moved over from firewood to charcoal, we have real charcoal that's locally made at a budget busting £6 for a 3kg sack, though there's the usual firewood available for chemineas and firepits.
Sunday sees the return of the Brighton leg of the World Naked Bike Ride. Fingers are crossed as the weather looks like it's going to be ideal for this popular annual event, highlighting cyclists' vulnerability and our dependence on fossil fuels. If you'd like to join in and go 'as bare as you dare', everybody meets from midday at The Level before setting off on the sedate circuit of Brighton & Hove at around 1:30pm. For more information follow the link here. We wish everybody taking part an enjoyable and fun day out. Some of our team will be there, but we promise no pictures next week!
