Construction site collections service

Our collections are a valuable contributor to the Considerate Constructors and BREEAM Energy Efficiency goals. The construction industry sends 60% of its waste wood to landfill, increasing CO2 and more harmful methane emissions.

We’re here to help reduce this, saving you time, energy, and resource.

Our prompt, professional and competitive collections service is available to all businesses in Brighton & Hove and surrounding areas. Waste wood is collected via a loose collection and stacked intelligently by our team on to our trucks, decreasing voids to maximise the volume removed.

We re-use or recycle ALL the wood we collect.

Wood for recycling is taken directly for wood chipping and onwards for use in panel board manufacture, or to a materials recycling facility for processing into animal bedding and fibre board or use for biomass energy production, where we ensure the greatest recovery of useful energy.

Materials reclaimed by us for re-use are cleaned up and de-nailed by volunteers for resale. Working with volunteers and reselling wood for DIY helps us fulfil our charitable, environmental, and social aims.

Re-using wood locks up carbon for longer and reduces the demand for virgin wood, imports, shipping, and transport.

We've been working on construction sites with companies like Taylor Wimpey, Kier, and Willmott Dixon since we formed in 1998.

We have CSCS cards, a waste licence, environmental permit, insurance, sound H&S practices, PPE, and we support Considerate Constructors and BREEAM.

Book your collection now via collections@woodrecycling.org.uk or by calling us on 01273 570600.

Customer Testimonials

"Superb! Absolutely brilliant service... what you took away in one van would have cost us two skips’ worth. It's great that it's being re-used; no good it being dumped and chipped up."

Martin H, Clipfine Ltd

"Absolutely happy with load sizes and value. I wouldn't have believed you could fit so much in!"

Alan P, Breyer Group
